An out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West standing in front of a totem pole at Saxman Totem Park. A road passes through the foreground on an upward angle from right to left. The park lines the right side of the road. Mertie West stands at center in the distance, near the perimeter of the Totem Park. A short, bird-like carved figure stands behind and to the left of her.
