Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the Annette Island Canning Company warehouse in Metlakatla, as viewed from an elevated perspective. The photograph appears to tilt downward towards the right. An elevated walkway extends from the lower right corner and back towards a warehouse door in the near distance at center. A dock beneath the walkway stretches across the image. Under the walkway, a person stands on the dock. The warehouse spans the width of the image. At left, it sits recessed back. At center, it juts towards camera and a large warehouse door stands ajar on the second floor. Three windows sit to the right of it. Above the windows, a sign reads, "ANNETTE ISLAND CANNING COMPANY." Another segment of the building stands in the distance at right, obscured by the elevated walkway. Text from negative sleeve: 2205. Alaska Trip. Metlaklata [sic] Sept.16, 1946. 1. Docking 2.
