Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. Distant view of the Dogfish Pole at Saxman Totem Park, as seen from the side. In the near distance, left-of-center, a short, carved bear figure stands in partial view, facing towards the camera. Beyond it, at center, the Dogfish Pole rises. It is viewed from the side. About 5 figures are carved into the pole. The dogfish figure is the third figure, up, or down, the pole. Its tail is oriented up and its head is oriented down. A small, carved bear figure sits at the very top of the pole. Other poles are visible in the background. Mountains rise in the far distance.
