Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. NRHP reference # 87002591 Photograph of people ice skating on the rink at Rockefeller Center in New York. The rink sits sunken below the level of the plaza and is seen from an elevated perspective. It stretches through the foreground on an upward angle to the right. Several people are visible skating on the rink at center. One person skates at left. Beyond the rink, concrete walls stand tall along the back and right edges of the rink area. Equally spaced flags line the tops of the walls. Crowds of spectators stand behind the walls and watch the ice skaters. At the far left side of the back wall, something covered in canvas stands in partial view. Beyond the walls and spectators, 30 Rockefeller Center rises in the background at left. It is obscured by shadow. To the right of it, 50 Rockefeller Center stands. Four punched holes line the top edge at left. Text from negative sleeve: 2348.
