The shaft of a fluted column stands along the left edge in the foreground. Beyond it and to the right, chairs sit in horizontal rows that extend towards a stage in the near distance. Off-center to the right, Mertie West sits in a chair 3 rows away from camera. Her back is towards camera as she faces towards the stage. The stage sits in the near distance in partial view, off-center to the left. Chairs sit in a row along the front of the stage. Behind them, busts stand against the auditorium's back wall.
