Wellington Road stretches across the foreground on an upward angle from right to left. On the far side of the road, H. H. West's former residence stands, off-center to the right. It is viewed at an angle from the front and faces slightly left. A tree growing in the parkway obscures the left side of the 2-story residence. At right, a neighbor's house stands in partial view, obscuring part of the house at center. A tall palm tree growing in the parkway stands along the right edge. Another neighbor's house stands to the left and slightly behind the house at center. An opaque band of white originates from the lower right corner and stretches up along the right edge.
