Photograph appears with the article, "Burt W. Reed Rites Fixed," Los Angeles Times, 24 Mar 1936: 6.
The photograph is a portrait of Reed. His head is outlined in ink and there is a strip of white paper with his name positioned along the side of the portrait. Underneath the portrait is the picture of Reed that was cut from the newspaper article announcing his death.
After battling an illness for two months Burt Warren Reed has passed at the age of 71. He leaves behind his widow, a daughter, and a son.
