Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Several months after his death, the wills of Hermann H. Strathmann have been found among his effects written on $1 bills, scraps of paper, a flyleaf of a Bible, and the rung of a stepladder. Some of the wills were discovered to be forgeries by Superior Judge Shinn. Betty, smiling, peers through two rungs of the stepladder. She holds a pad and pencil against a step.
