Scope/Content: Western Union telegram from Edward F. Witsell, acting adjutant general of the Army, to Ruby Oatman of Stockton, California. States that her son Earl R. Oatman was returned to United States military control in Japan on September 9, 1945, and would be returned to the U.S. shortly.
