Description
The new San Jose Main Library is brightly lit in this night photograph. The dirt without landscaping that surrounds the building and the lack of water in the fountain in the front indicate this shot must have been taken shortly after construction was completed but before the library was opened. The Main Library remained in this building until August 2003 when it became part of a new joint city/university library on the campus of San Jose State University.
