Description
Photograph article dated December 19, 1959 reads, "Six children of Mr. And Mrs. Wilford Pounds, 14009 Astoria St., Sylmar, aren't singing Christmas carols but are affording Victory Hospital nurse Mrs. Effie Bloom last look at their tonsils before they were all removed. From left, they are Teddy, 2 1/2; Emagene, 4 1/2; Lee, 6; Gary, 7; Timmy, 10, and Danny, 11. Two other Pounds children, Billy, 14, and Jimmy, 9, remained at home this trip, having already had their tonsils out."
