Description: One drawing book/leaflet entitled Easy Pictures for Slate Drawing, published by Lyon Manufacturing Co., New York, ca. 1860. This item is a promotional advertisement for several products: Lyon's Magnetic Insect Powder; Mexican Mustang Liniment; Hagan's Magnolia Balm; Plantation Bitters and Lyon's Kathairon. On one side of this 10-page accordian-folded leaflet there are 5 advertisements (four of which with woodcut illustrations); the other side consists of the front cover (printed in red, black and white) and four "pages" of white-on-black illustrations, made to look like slate drawings. The images for copying include domestic and farm animals. All of the pages are unnumbered. "4-" (price) is written in ms. in the upper right-hand corner of the front cover.
