Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated July 8, 1961 reads, "Prayer garden mosaic - Harold Johnson, 11861 Tiara St., North Hollywood, stands before the 10-foot high mosaic of Christ he designed and constructed as a focal point in the prayer garden of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, North Hollywood. The mosaic stretches six feet across and represents six months of labor during evenings and weekends. Flesh tones color the face while the gown is shaded from black to white, with intermediate colors of green and gold. Mosaic work has been his hobby for the past two years, says Johnson, a television costume supervisor."
