Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph article dated August 25, 1962 partially reads, "Christ - in larger-than-life size - 'stands' visibly in a North Hollywood book store. The Venetian glass mosaic of Christ stands 7 1/2 feet tall by 3 1/2 feet wide, and was created by Mrs. Herbert V. Kaeppel, Sherman Oaks. "I've felt like making this mosaic for two years," Mrs. Kaeppel said. "I saw several Biblical movies and they gave me the feeling of what the living Christ should be. Then about eight months ago, I started my work. I didn't work constantly on the mosaic, as this is only a hobby," she said."
