Description
A preacher reads scripture to his congregation during a worship service at the Evangelical Coptic Church of Naj' Ḥammādī. The artwork of the church is on display behind him; a banner rests above a depiction of the crucified Lord with corpus and an open book. A painted banner and the painted book have writing in Arabic, as does the cloth over the podium. Claremont scholar James Robinson also sits behind the speaker.
