Description
"Peking Second Police Ward - Community Service Group: The office of the Community Service Group, with group of Chinese Secretaries. The office is composed of one large room, from which work is carried on. The walls are covered with charts, diagrams and photographs illustrating the progress of service for the district." In the photo, the secretaries, four men in Chinese dress, stand in the courtyard in front of the building described by the caption. A sign with Chinese characters is on the outside wall, and a bicycle is parked at right.
This group may have had some connection with Yenching University, which was later known as Yanjing da xue.
