Photograph caption dated August 29, 1950 reads, "Friendly raven chats with Larry Bowne, left, and Alfio Dino. Blackie has selected Alfio as special buddy, and follows him home at night. No one knows where Blackie sleeps, however, but he's always back when kids come out in the morning."
