Bust-length portrait.
Born in 1879 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduation, briefly pursued professional baseball career, at age 22 pursued art career. Moved to San Francisco in 1907, taught art at California School of Fine Arts in 1918. Worked with etchings, monotypes, easel paintings, but most extensive work was with mural paintings.
