Photograph caption dated April 12, 1956 reads, "Lopez Canyon, off-shoot from San Gabriel mountains, is latest San Fernando Valley area location to be industrially developed. This view shows where developers have taken fill from slopes of canyon to level out spot to provide space for new plants. An independent water supply is assured from spring that runs down canyon from mountains. For many years, area was used only by picnickers who enjoyed shade of wooded canyon, named for Geronimo Lopez."; See images #00144671 through #00144676 for all photos in this series.
