Very similar to Ligon's map in his "A true & exact history of the island of Barbadoes..." first published in 1657. This map may date from Henri Justel's collection of French translations of various travel histories in his "Recueil de divers voyages faits en Afrique et en l'Amérique," published in 1674 and 1684. MS note: 2.50. MS note on verso: 119. Relief: pictorial. Graphic Scale: Miles. Projection: Plane. Watermark: elaborate watermark. Printing Process: Copper engraving.
