Description
Taken in 1926, this photograph shows the Southern Pacific Railroad Station on I Street, between Third and Fifth Streets. The three story-high station was completed by the contracting company of Davison and Nicolsen for 1,000,000 dollars in the early months of 1926. Its superstructure was composed of pressed brick while its trimmings were terra cotta. In the foreground are two Pacific Gas and Electric street cars.
