Description
Annotation translation: "Mr Subaya has been mentioned several times in the 'Heidenbote'. His death was reported in 'Heidenbote' 1885 No. 9 p. 67. The missionaries held a bible study in his house every Friday. This continues now under his son Mr Somaya. It is a substantial house with double windows and is nicely furnished. The bible studies take place in the large room on the upper floor. The Mission House stands behind the sago palm on the left of the picture and is just 5 minutes away from Subaya's house. The house on the left belongs to an Englishman."
