Here is a 1949 aerial photograph of Setzer Forest Products, a box manufacturer located at 2570 through 2610 Third St. Established in 1923, the business -- at the time this photograph was taken -- was employing upwards of 170 people. The Setzer family operated California Pine Box Distributors at 2570 Third St. Primary customers included area housing contractors, various Detroit-based auto pattern makers, and producers of sashes and doors in Wisconsin. A holding pond within the company's 26-acre campus appears in the upper right corner.
