The article partially reads, "In spite of the warnings of veteran flower growers that they could not be produced in the Valley the year around, K. A. Muto and his sons, Tak and Fred, 10743 Foothill Blvd., San Fernando, were determined to propagate the blooms out of season...The plants are actually fooled into thinking fall has arrived by the use of black sateen cloth which is draped over the fields each day at 5 p.m. and pulled back at 7 a.m. each morning."; See images #00133192 through #00133194 for all photos in this series.
