Description: This 1975 photograph shows - looking west - a sunny, active K Street Mall at Eleventh Street. The marquee of the Crest Theater looms large in the middle of the frame while in the right foreground is Ransohoff's, a department store located at 1031 K Street. To the left is one of three fountains that were installed along the mall in 1969. All three were removed in Spring 1984, making way for the appearance of Light Rail in 1986.
