Description
Photograph of a painting depicting the old adobe at the Mission San Juan Bautista, 1891. The long, two-story adobe is pictured, some of its roof beams extending beyond the shingles. Its broad side is pictured at center, the narrow side to the left, where a large window can be seen on the second floor. This adobe was apparently at the bottom of the San Juan Bautista hill and was the site of bullfights.
