Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated March 9, 1962 reads "Threats and a light beating with a pistol butt marked holding of employes (sic) by bandits." The article partially reads "Two black-hooded bandits escaped today from an attempted robbery at a Sherman Oaks bank with a 23-year-old girl as a hostage but no cash. Before fleeing from San Fernando Valley Bank, 13535 Ventura Blvd., the two robbers held 15 bank employes (sic) and one police officer captive at gun-point for 45 minutes."; See images #00129263 through #00129267 for all photos in this series.
