Title supplied by cataloger. Portrait of John Miner Carey Marble (1833-1912) who was a banker and businessman. Marble was also a Colonel in the Civil War in the 33rd Regiment of Allen County Ohio for the Union Army. Colonel Marble moved to Los Angeles in 1888 and established the National Bank of California and was the bank president. He was also one of three committee members who created an independent telephone system for Los Angeles. Photograph circa 1888.
