Description
This photo on June 15, 1934, shows a derrick loading the cut-down palm trees onto a truck to be hauled away from Brand Blvd., Glendale, where they have been landmarks for many years. After heated arguments, the trees were ordered removed so that the power poles could be taken away from the center of the street and put along the sidewalks.
