View of the first Bidwell Presbyterian Church. First Bidwell Presbyterian Church. One of the first churches in Chico was the First Presbyterian Church. It was built in 1870 with Mrs. John Bidwell a member of the Presbyterian Church in the East, as an ardent supporter.
