Description
This is a photograph of "Sr. Mary Richard looking over the tiny waifs. The little tots are placed in an ordinary wooden box and the mosquito net protects them from flies and insects." This is referred to as "'The Gate to Heaven', where over 1000 little waifs come and go each year - this year brings our 'In Heaven' number to over 15,000."
