Photograph caption dated July 7, 1962 partially reads, "Three-year-old David Main is the newest and the youngest rookie on this street in Sylmar...David, a Korean orphan adopted by American parents, started to play baseball last month when his grandmother and grandfather bought him a plastic ball and bat...David can already hit the ball over the roof and over the fence at the park."
