Photograph caption dated October 25, 1950 reads, "Al Jolson's coffin is carried from Los Angeles International Airport plane as Hollywood prepared to pay last tribute to the great showman, 'a casualty of the Korean War,' at noon tomorrow. Left to right at front of casket are William Taylor and D. L. Pelton, mortuary employees, and Maurice Aroff. left to right, behind floral sprays from film executives, are Martin Fried and Harry Akst, friends who were with Jolson when he died, and Louis Epstein, Jolson's business manager."
