Description
Photograph of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Fiesta Float, April 25, 1903. Six horses wearing a white sheet and feathery masks are hitched to the float. The horses are paired and for each horse is a man holding its reigns. The float resembles a Greek or Romanesque temple, featuring columns, large pediments and decorative cornices. "Chamber of Commerce" and "To the Prosperity of Southern California" are embossed below the pediments and cornices. Two children in similar garb hold signs displaying the name of the owner of the float: "Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce".
