Description
Caspar Weinberger was born on August 18, 1917 in San Francisco, California. He was an American politician and businessman. A Republican, he served in a variety of federal and state positions, including Chairman of the California Republican Party from 1962 to 1968. He was Secretary of Defense under President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1987. Weinberger died on March 28, 2006.
