Photograph of the monument and bronze tablet marking the pioneer emigrant trail of 1849, Truckee, ca.1930. A stone cube supports a tall, almost rectangular rock which displays the bronze tablet. Large bushes and a tree-covered hillside can be seen in the background while a barb wire fence stands in the foreground next to a post that reads "Emigrant Trail". "Monument and bronze tablet marking the pioneer emigrant trail of 1849. Placed by the Historical Landmark committee of the Native Sons of the Golden West".
