The 157-acre manufacturing facility was dedicated on May 6, 1948; the plant closed in 1980 and was purchased by Northrop Grumman in 1982.

Plant is located on the corner of Rosemead Boulevard and Washington Boulevard (streets that meet on the bottom left corner of the large barren area). The Rio Hondo can be seen on upper center, and runs parallel to Rosemead. Photograph dated July 15, 1955.
