Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated March 8, 1956 reads, "This is slogan of more than 50 placard-waving pupils of Wonderland School as they prepare to march to nearby homes in Lookout Mountain area of Laurel Canyon armed with formal petitions to keep elementary school open. Board of Education plans to close Wonderland School at end of semester. Children will then have to commute to West Hollywood, a spokesman said."
