Distinguished award winners in the local American Institute of Architects Honor Awards program are (left to right) A. Quincy Jones, Robert E. Alexander, Whitney R. Smith, and Edgardo Contini. Jones, Smith and Contini, architects, engineers and site planners, were cited for their design of the Los Angeles City's Children's Camp at Griffith Park, and Alexander for the new UCLA Elementary School. Winners were announced November 20, 1951, at an awards banquet at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
