Description
Pictured here is an aerial view of Alamitos Bay and peninsula. The San Gabriel River, shown cutting through the center of the print, flows out to the sea at right. Beyond the river, the city of Seal Beach is visible. The long length of shoreline along the coast shows waves rolling onto the beaches. A notation with this image reads, "Alamitos Bay and Seal Beach around 1954, before the bay was dredged, sand bar removed and breakwater built. Ocean Boulevard still continued [over the bridge] to Seal Beach." DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print. NEGATIVE: No. KEYWORDS: Panoramics.
