Description
A crowd of people stand around tables and a small temporary building offering FREE WATER in Lincoln Park at the corner of Ocean Boulevard and Pacific Avenue. Tin cups and a pitcher sit on one table at right. Signs posted in the foreground list the sponsors: C. T. McGrew and Sons, Mecca Cafe, and Sparklets Water. (sic) The First Congregational Church tower and part of the Willmore Hotel are visible in the background. DATE NOTES: Circa March 1933. ORIG. IMAGE: 3" x 5" B&W glossy real photo postcard.
