Radar man Earl W. McKeever discusses his duty on the USS California and going to war in the largest naval battle of WWII, the Battle of Leyte Gulf in the Philippines on October 23-26, 1944. Recorded March 2014 as part of California Reads, War Comes Home, a program of Cal Humanities in partnership with the California Center for the Book.
