Description
Photograph of men posed outside the Treasury house, Sonoma, [s.d.]. A two story building with a sloped shingled roof and small tower on top is visible with a few dozen men standing in front on the dirt road. The men all wear suits and caps, except for a boy wearing overalls and one man wearing a long white apron. A horse-drawn carriage is visible at left with four people sitting inside, while an empty carriage is visible at right. A man at center is visible standing on top of a bench, while there are five males standing on a long balcony on the second story. Windows are visible on both stories, and paint is beginning to peel away on the walls. A sign reading, "French Restaurant. Saloon" hangs from the second story, while "Fresh Bread Every Morning", "Yerba", and "This House and Lot For Sale" are painted on the first-story walls at right. Photoprint reads: "Opposite Plaza at Sonoma". Picture file card reads: "Trescony house, opposite plaze. Townspeople(?) gathered in front of house complex also includes French restaurant and Saloon".
