Description
Photograph caption dated April 27, 1963 reads, "Tonight is the night 113.3 million Americans lose an hour's sleep - Daylight Saving Time begins. Clocks will be set ahead one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday. And people who are in charge of clock departments in Valley stores have a particularly busy time on their hands. Mrs. Annita Ciupak, May Co. employe [sic] in North Hollywood, is shown setting all the clocks ahead. The lost hour will be returned the last Sunday in October when time goes back to Standard."
