Description
Photograph of a fascist rally in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin, Germany. "648744 | Watch your credit | International News Photo | Slug (Marching past Reichstag) | Charred Reichstag building sees huge fascist rally | Berlin, Germany ... Looking somewhat forlorn as a result of the disastrous fire of incendiary origin which practically destroyed its interior as well as its huge dome, the Reichstag building provides a dramatic background for this huge impressive display of the newest power to sweep the Fatherland -- fascism. Huge crowds lined to the streets to witness 25,000 steelhelmet [sic] troops as they marched through the capital. Vice-Chancellor von Papen and other high government officials took the salute. PS-3-14-33/2-30" -- typed note attached to verso. "Received. Examiner reference library. Mar 21, 1933" -- stamped on verso.
