Description
In envelope marked "Monument in Scotland." Two images of a memorial stone erected in Scotland for the Center family. Reads, "Sacred to the memory of George Center, late of Crossgight [Corsegight]. Born 4th January 1815, died at Santa Clara, California, 6th March 1902. Sophia Lillie, his wife died at Crossgight [Corsegight], 29 November 1850, aged 35 years. His daughter Mary, who died 11th May 1864, aged 24 years. Ann, who died 20th November 1869, aged 5 years. Erected by George J. Center of Belmont, California."
