Segments include studio guest Andrea Carmen discussing upcoming Chicano Moratorium commemoration and history of the Chicano Moratorium (including footage of the original event in Los Angeles); guest Manuel Gonzales, one of the originators of the show when it was called Lo Que Es, talks about how the show was started; Barrio Expressions recruitment tape; studio interview with local Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) representative; studio performance by breakdancing crew from Fremont; Union City Car Show tape; studio guest Arturo Reya [?] director of the Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center in Union City. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
