Description
Dixie Cox Marie in fancy Western dress costume wearing black hat, boots, spurs and gun holster while smoking a cigar. Appears to be on the stage of the Savoy nightclub in Cupertino. Other men in Western wear cheer in the background.
The Savoy night club was a popular gay bar. After 15 successful years, it was sold in 1997. The bar went through several owners, and in 2000, Darlene Lutz reopened the bar and changed the name to Dar's Hideaway. See Ted Sahl, From Closet to Community, pp.234-235.
