Description
The woman on the left wears a bright pink, off-the-shoulder opera dress with a low neckline and short, puffed sleeves. There is ruching at the neck and white, lace ruffles at the shoulders. A second, loose, over-sleeve made of white lace hangs over the pink puffs to the elbow. The woman wears a gold, cord belt which hangs down in front with two loops and large, ornate golden tassels. A matching line of cord runs parallel to the hem at the knee. The woman wears white stockings and pointed, black, lace-up slippers. Her elbow-length gloves are white, and she carries a lacy white handkerchief and a small, closed, gold fan. Her hat is black with a wide, rigid brim, trimmed with black bows and several large, white plumes. She wears dangling, gold earrings. The woman on the right wears a dress to attend a private concert. It is white with puffed sleeves and a wide, square neck trimmed with two pointed, white flounces. The woman wears a white belt with a gold buckle, and her skirts have a row of gold beads at the knee. She wears elbow-length white gloves, white stockings, and pointed, black slippers which lace up at the ankle. Strands of gold beads are woven into her hair, which is adorned with three large, pink flowers. The woman wears dangling gold earrings and carries a partially open fan in her left hand.
