Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Plaza Church ("Pueblo Church of Nuestra Senora de Reina de Los Angeles") in Los Angeles, taken by Edward Vischer, before 1875. The town is visible down the dirt road in the background, leading to the hills, while the church is visible to the left of the road. It is distinguished by a wrough-iron gateway which encloses its front courtyard, an arched doorway, filigree-decorated bell tower, and a number of rosetta windows. A cross extends from the top of its peaked roof. Trees are visible to the left.
